Mr.Simon Osei Mensah a member of the New Patriotic Party and an Ashanti Regional Minister on Kumasi-based Hello FM said in an interview that the governing party(NPP) headed by the president His Excellency Nana Akuffu Addo can not entirely be blamed for the sinking Ghanaian economy. In his speech, he noted that, the ruling government has only been a victim of the global economic crisis and therefore must not be blamed for such hardship entirely which when happens makes him very furious. He said"the ruling party deserve credit instead of crticisms" He added that, individuals who are informed about global happenings are appreciative of his stand and behooves on the NPP to sensitize the rest of Ghanaians about the impacts of events on the world economy on the country.
