Manchester United defender Alex Telles is set to complete a move to join Cristiano Ronaldoat Saudi Pro League side Al Nassr for a fee of around €4million (£3.4; $4.4m).
The 30-year-old spent last season on loan at Sevilla and won the Europa League with the La Liga club, featuring against his parent club as they knocked out United in the quarter-finals.
Telles, who joined United from Porto in a deal worth up to £15.3m ($19.9m) in October 2020, will join up with his former team-mate Ronaldo, who moved to Al Nassr from Old Trafford in January.
The full-back, who has 12 caps for Brazil, made 50 appearances for United, scoring his only goal for the club in a 2-1 Champions League victory over Villarreal in the 2021-22 season.
Al Nassr were one of four Saudi Arabian clubs taken over by the country’s Public Investment Fund last month, alongside Al Ittihad, Al Ahli and Al Hilal.
That investment has led to several high-profile players swapping European football for Saudi Arabia already this summer.
So far this summer, Al Nassr have signed Croatia international Marcelo Brozovic from Inter Milan on a permanent deal, as well as Lens captain Seko Fofana for €25million (£21.5m; $28m).
